In today’s ever-changing music industry, what remains the same is the power music can have, and its ability to unify musicians and their fans. As our new social media world gets bigger, the direct line between artists and their followers is getting shorter, and ParvuPR aspires to foster this connection with the personalized and 360-degree public relations support necessary for keeping up with this new music business model.
Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, band blogs, and interactive websites have all presented opportunities to EXPAND on the tools public relations executives have relied on for decades. As we feel our way through this new media era, and as we embrace the possibilities and enter an exciting new decade in 2010, it is important that we merge the new PR tactics with the professional and polished PR strategies that are still key to successful publicity campaigns.
ParvuPR founder CRISTINA PARVU has led entertainment, branding and personality campaigns since her venture into public relations in 2003. First delving into live music PR by assisting with the Summer Concert Series for ABC’s Good Morning America, Cristina exclusively handled national tour press for a diverse set of Grammy-winning acts and secured placements in music magazines such as Paste Magazine, Guitar World, and Rolling Stone. Through her work on CD launches and campaigns she has walked the red carpet, made key introductions between clients and celebrities, and set up stories in a wide range of national outlets such as TIME Magazine, the New York Times, USA Today, Parade Magazine, Body+Soul Magazine, VIBE, Metal Edge and Billboard.
